2023 Dance NZ Made

On Monday 14 August, 33 of our girls from Years 7 to 13, competed at the Hawke’s Bay Regional Dance NZ Made Competition.

Dance NZ Made is an annual inter-school competition celebrating and embracing the strength, diversity and passion of Dance in New Zealand.

The School had four teams competing in the following categories: Year 7/8: Carry You; Year 9/10: Greatness; Year 11-13: Planet Mars and Open: Survivor. There were also a number of solos and duos entered.

This year, the Woodford House Dance teams were entirely student-led by Year 11s Sophie Westwood and Zara McGillicuddy (Joint Student Heads of Dance) and Esther Dear in Year 12.

All those involved put in countless hours of preparation, training and rehearsal to achieve the following results. They should all be highly commended and incredibly proud of their achievements.
